The need
In Goma, the capital of North Kivu, young people lack opportunities and structured support to start businesses: limited access to finance, specialized training and business networks. Many turn to forced migration or poorly paid subsistence work. Giving them productive work is a question of jobs and of peace.
What the programme offers
- Six-month incubation: business management, business models, leadership and marketing, with regular mentoring
- Acceleration for the most promising start-ups: intensive mentoring, access to finance and shared workspaces
- Skills workshops: financial management, digital skills, technological innovation and sustainable resource management
- Training in growth sectors: agri-food, crafts, new technologies, light industry, renewable energy
- Tailored advice: business plans, market research, product development, growth
- Training in conflict resolution, peacebuilding and leadership
- Community campaigns and events for peace, stability and inclusive entrepreneurship
What you come away with
- A structured, supported business project
- Young people who create jobs instead of waiting for them
- Peace ambassadors in their communities
